In terms of Food and Drink, aside from the option of room service, you can also eat at their Hook restaurant or alternatively devour their taco menu at the bar and lounge, which is what we did. They also serve an afternoon tea in the lounge.
Breakfast in served in the Hook restaurant and we enjoyed their cooked options to order (eggs any way, porridge and more) from the open kitchen.
Another plus point is if you are a dog owner as the hotel is very dog friendly!
Dogs are welcome to stay in 12 rooms (at one tree house, in the farmhouse and in some suites. There’s a dog shower, a dog agility course, and dog afternoon tea that can be ordered at The Lounge – specially devised muffins as well as treats from Cotswold Raw.
There is lots to do while you are staying here and you can even borrow Original Muck boots! Choose from cycle routes, trim trails and rambling routes on your doorstep – including the legendary Cotswold Way. A 20-minute walk across the countryside takes you to charming Broadway (‘the show village of England’), with shops, eateries and the Broadway Museum and Gallery. Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are also in good driving distance for day trips to these English gems.
If you prefer to stay indoors, there is a games room which has table football, Sky Sports, a pool table and more; a cinema; a kids’ outdoor play area largely created from recycled wood and lots of board games and books to go through whilst enjoying a cocktail from the bar.
